Description

GeneRuler 100bp DNA Ladder is supplied in gel loading buffer at total DNA concentration of 0.1ug/ul and can be directly applied on to agarose gel. This DNA Ladder is prepared from a specially designed plasmid pE-50 DNA, containing pUC, λ phage and yeast genome sequences.

The DNA Ladder contains the following 11 discrete fragments (in base pairs): 1000, 900,800,700,600,500,400,300, 250,200,150,100,80.

Supplied in Gel Loading Buffer

10mM Tris-HCI (pH7.6), 10mM EDTA.

0.03%bromophenol blue, 0.03% xylene cyanol FF and 10% glycerol.

6x Loading Dye Solution

0.2% bromophenol blue, 0.2% xylene cyanol FF, 60% glycerol and 60mM EDTA.

Quality Control Assay Data

Agarose gel electrophoretic analysis of homogeneity of Eco 147l and Pvul fragmentation patterns. 

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

Vortex gently just prior to use.

Do not heat before loading

Apply 0.1ul (1ul) of DNA Ladder per 1mm of agarose gel lane width.

Following electrophoretic separation on agarose gel the DNA bands can be visualized by ethidium bromide staining.

GeneRuler 100bp DNA Ladder, ready-to-use, can be used for DNA quantification (see Table).
