Transgenic mice have been widely used in biological and medical research. To sustain the transgenic mouse colony, it is important to detect the encoding foreign gene at every generation. Typically, mice tail DNA isolation is a complex and tedious procedure that includes preparing a variety of reagents and overnight incubations in the presence of Proteinase K. A quicker way to obtain the desired DNA extract for PCR would be very significant for biomedical research which utilizes transgenic mice. Our 10-minute DNA Extraction Kit is a reliable, simple, quick and inexpensive method to obtain the desired mouse tail DNA for PCR. Furthermore, the desired DNA extract is not only functional at a wide concentration range (see Fig.1) but also exhibits good expression of multi-primers (Fig.2) in the PCR reaction.
